My Name!

Stolen... Borrowed... Hijacked... Whatever you may call it, lol.
Steven and Jacki did it first!

You entered: Joseph Joshua W_ _ _ _ _ _

There are 19 letters in your name.
Those 19 letters total to 71
There are 7 vowels and 12 consonants in your name.

What your first name means:
Hebrew Male May Jehovah add/give increase. St Joseph of Arimathea undertook the burial of Jesus (in Holy Grail lore). In the bible Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery and later rose to become a supreme power in Egypt. Also Jesus' legal father..
Biblical Male Increase; addition

Your number is: 8

The characteristics of #8 are: Practical endeavors, status oriented, power-seeking, high-material goals.

The expression or destiny for #8:
Your Expression is represented by the number 8. The 8 Expression is well-equipped in a managerial sense. You have outstanding organizational and administrative capabilities. You have the potential for considerable achievement in business or other powerful positions. You can expect to receive the financial and material rewards. You have the skill and abilities to establish or operate a business with great efficiency. You have good judgment when it comes to money and commercial matters, and you understand how to build and accumulate material wealth. Much of your success (or lack of it) may come due to your ability (or inability) to judge character. With the number 8 Expression, you exercise sound judgment in most of your affairs; you are realistic and practical in your approach to business matters.

The positive 8 Expression produces individuals that are very ambitious and goal-oriented. If the 8 energy is not in excess in your makeup, you will no doubt express these traits to some extent. No one has any more energy that a person with the 8 Expression who has a plan laid and is starting to work. No one has any more self-confidence, either. If you are expressing the positive qualities of 8, you are an outstanding manager because you can plan, initiate, and complete projects; you are very dependable and determined.

As it always happens, there can be too much of a good thing. If you have too much of the 8 energy in your makeup, you may express some of the negative attitudes. A negative 8 can be very rigid and stubborn. Ambition sometimes has a way of becoming over-ambition, and you may express an unreasonable impatience with the lack of progress. If your negative side is showing, you may be too exacting, both of yourself and of others. Sometimes this can even becomes a case of intolerance.

The number 8 is very materialistic and also very desirous of status and power. Neither of these drives are inherently negative unless they are taken to an extreme. You must avoid the tendency to strain after money, material matters, status, or power, to the detriment of the other important factors in your life.

Your Soul Urge number is: 1

A Soul Urge number of 1 means:
Your Soul Urge is the number 1. With a Soul Urge number of 1, you want to lead and direct, to work independent of supervision, by yourself or with subordinates. You take pride in your abilities and want to be recognized for them. You may seek opportunities to display your strength and usefulness, wanting to create and originate. In your desire to manage the big picture and the main issues, you may often leave the details to others.

The positive 1 Soul Urge is Ambitious and determined, a leader seeking opportunities. There is a great deal of honesty and loyalty in this character. If you possess positive 1 Soul Urge qualities, you are very attainment oriented and driven to success. You are a loyal friend and strictly fair in your business dealings.

The negative side of the 1 Soul Urge must be avoided. A negative 1 is apt to dominate situations and people; the home, the spouse, the family and the business. Emotions aren't strong in this nature. If you possess an excess of 1 energy, you may, at times, be boastful and egotistic. You must avoid being too critical and impatient of trifles. The great need of the 1 Soul Urge is the development of friendliness, and a sincere interest in people.

Your Inner Dream number is: 7

An Inner Dream number of 7 means:
You dream of having the opportunity to read, study, and shut yourself off from worldly distractions. You can see yourself as a teacher, mystic, or ecclesiastic, spending your life in the pursuit of knowledge and learning.

Family....

It seems that with recent events, a lot of people are paying more attention to family and the importance of it. Even reading Jacki's blog she dedicates a couple posts to family. So after seeing "Taken" I feel I should do the same.

You never really realize how important the people in your life are until you don't have them anymore. There is so much these people can offer you, you know? The only people who you can meet who can honestly love you without REALLY knowing you. There's always this tie... blood is thicker than ANYTHING else. You can't choose your family, and NO family is perfect, but at the end of the day, I can honestly say there is that love and that caring that you just can't throw away. I don't know everyone in my family like I guess I should, but even when I meet them for the first time or the twenty-first time, they always make me feel like we have been living together for years. I love my family and I will be grateful for them until the day I die.

I was lucky enough to enjoy the family I was born into and have never had much to complain about anyway. My parents are still together and have busted their asses to put me through school and support me with anything that I really put my heart into. Not everyone has the same to say...but those aren't qualities that draw the line between good and bad. Actually, every family is good. Just depends on how you look at it. And that's the truth. Focus on what you have...rather than what you would like. Because when you can really do that, you won't need ANYTHING. At the end of the movie, they asked him, "If you even need ANYthing...." and he responded, "I have everything I need right here." And that's how I feel. As long as I have MY family... I have everything!

So he asked me for my heart.
I was scared as hell, but I couldn't help it. Against my better judgment I gave it to him, and honestly, I haven't regretted a day of it.
He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Six months and 25 days later, we are still together and even thought we may have our fights and arguments, at the end of the night we are still happy together.
I wouldn't give this relationship up for anything. I love this man, and I thank God everyday that I have him in my life. In 5 more days, on the 16th, we will have been together for 7 months.
Seven months...seven fantastic months and a while lifetime to go.
So he asked me for my hears ant I gave it to him...the best thing I could ever do.

What I would pay to go back to that day.....

OMG yes....!

First I would like to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the new Britney Spears video, "If U Seek Amy!" She has come such a long way from the "comeback" she had at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. She opened the show last year in 2008 with a cute intro (no dancing) and, in a shock to everyone, took home 3 awards for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, and Video of the Year!. From there she has been on a roll. With the release of her documentary "For the Record", she gave her fans an inside look on her life and what she's been going through. We got to see how hard it was for her to cope and how much of a fighter she is for going after her dream. At the same time, her new album "Circus" was released. We got a taste of what she's been working on since Blackout, and her fans were so excited! Maybe this was the real comeback we were all waiting so patiently for. So far, from this album, Britney has released 3 singles as well as videos. "Womanizer", "Circus", and "If U Seek Amy". Personally, I loved both Womanizer and Circus, but I feel Britney really stepped up with this latest video in the dancing department. I was always really nervous about her life performances, because I felt that once she fell off she was never able to bring the dancing back to where it used to me. With the release of this video, I feel I can have faith that her live performances will only get better from here.

Good job Brittney. You have so many people behind you supporting you!

Time to Rant a lil.....

Ok, so lately I've been noticing something that I'm not too happy about. Well happy or unhappy... I just find it interesting if nothing else.

Why is it that older guys (men over the age of 35) feel that they need to offer younger guys things such as gifts, movies, dinner, money, etc. And in return for that, they need sex? But its out of nowhere, lmao. Like I get a message from this man one day talking about "you're so sexy, I would love to meet you and take you out for dinner/a movie my treat." At first I wasn't going to respond, but I thought it over and I was curious as to why this random man wanted to do that for me. So I asked him, "Why do you want to do that?" He responded that he would like to "Chill with you and take it from there." So of course I know what this means. The infamous "chill" and see what happens, or take it from there, or whatever happens happens, all means ONE thing. "I wanna get you naked and have sexual relations." Something I was not, or am not interested in with this man. So I tell him, "Oh aiight, that's cool, but I have no interest in having sex with you." And you know what he says???? Absolutely nothing, lmao. Not a word, and I just laughed. It was a mess. Like really?? Was I supposed to take dinner and a movie and go back to his place and drop draws because he spent...$30 bucks on me? No amount of money is enough to drop on the table and just expect me to give up the goodies, lol. I'm no escort.

But another part of the situation that I don't understand is, why is it only older men who do that? DO you reach a point in your life where you feel you can't pull anyone anymore, and you have to revert to the next best thing? Money for some loving? And do younger guys feel that they have the youth and the body that an actual date isn't necessary? I guess. Will I be subjected to shoveling out money when I feel I can no longer cut it in the gay lifestyle? That would really suck.... Like a lot. Lol. Gotta start taking vitamins so I can stay sexy for an eternity!... Or least until I'm 40, lmao. 30's the new 20, so who knows!

March of Graditude

This month is a month to try and focus on the positive.
Put all the negative shit behind you and be thankful for one good thing that you have in your life everyday.
Try and do this for the entire month and you should be happier.

This is the note from Angel Espada:
I want to start a holiday called the MARCH OF GRATITUDE. for everyday in the month of March, you write down something different ur truely grateful for, as simple as loving ur feet, or as deep as loving ur family. you post it up on ur wall (in your dorm or home) and u make it ur status on Facebook or Myspace or watever other sites u may be on... you aso make it ur away status on aim, or yahoo or gmail or meebo watever....

if we focus on wat we HAVE as opposed to wat we lack, maybe the word CAN be a better place, maybe tomorro WILL be a better day. pass this on....

-Angel

So March of Gratitude # 8 (because today is the 8th) I'm grateful for having dance in my life. Without it... I don't know where I would be.

Madea!

Madea Goes to Jail
I must admit I haven't been as entertained by Tyler Perry's movies as I have the plays, but this movie is worth it. This movie is as good as the play, and that's a lot to say, lol. But don't think just because you say the play then you don't have to see the movie, because the story lines are completely different. Smart move Mr. Tyler Perry!

"After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea fin front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe couldn't be happier at Madea's misfortune. But Madea's eccentric family members the Browns rally behind her, lending their special "country" brand of support. Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway is on the fast track to career success. But, Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle--defending young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington--and asks his fiancée and fellow ADA Linda Holmes to fill in on his behalf. When Candace ends up in jail, Madea befriends the young woman, protecting her in a "motherly" way as only Madea can."

And the best parts of “Madea Goes to Jail” — in which the law catches up with this uncompromising, unruly matriarch — are her muttering, motormouthed harangues. The rest of it is a fairly clumsy tale of sin and redemption, involving a young assistant district attorney (Derek Luke) whose impending marriage to a colleague (Ion Overman) is disrupted when he runs across a childhood friend (the former “Cosby Show” moppet Keshia Knight Pulliam) fallen into a life of prostitution and addiction. Mr. Luke and Viola Davis, who plays a minister, are superb actors (Ms. Pulliam is pretty good, too), and at times their intensity is almost too much for the movie, making the transitions from raw emotion to silly humor all the more jarring.

There are a couple unexpected twists here and there, but the rest of the movie is pretty much predictable. Go check it out and let me know what you think!
I'm just real curious to see what movie Tyler Perry will come out with next? Can we all say it together? MEET THE BROWNS!!!!

Frienship...

As of lately a good number of the people around me have been going through friendship woes. If it's friends one day and enemies the other, or if they both just decide to walk away from the relationship, what happens next? Easy if it's only both parties involved, but what happens if there's another person left? A third person... almost trapped in the middle.

Case 1
In a trio of friends, it's most difficult when two decide that there's nothing left in the friendship and now the said 3rd person has to designate time for each friend...because the other two can't stand to look at each other. It's almost as if it were a marriage and the parents get divorced and the judge makes the child pick who he wants to stay with. How am I supposed to pick? Even though I'm closer to one more than I am with the other, I'm still friends with the other. Should I just fall back and let our whole trifecta fall apart? Did it already? What does it take for two people who have been friends for years to just up and decide that they have nothing in common and that they will no longer be friends?

Case 2
What happens when you meet someone through your friend. You become cool people, but if the other two have a falling out and the one who you became cool with decides to cut off all ties and leaves you in the past also. What is that to say about the friendship you thought you were developing? Was it real? Well said person and I don't speak anymore. I kind of think that's messed up on his part.

What you think?

Life as a Musical

So I was riding the train last night listening to my ipod and I kept thinking to myself "what would happen if this was a musical?" Would people really jump out of their seats and start singing and dancing to a tune? Lol.

So here is my idea: Why can't we do it? Just like ImprovEverywhere can plan something like that, why can't we? We don't have to sing or anything like that (the first time). What would happen if everyone got up and just started dancing on the train to a boombox? Like have people dressed in whatever they want. Suits, street clothes, whatever.... enter the car at different doors, some sit, some stand. Then just randomly, music starts playing and all of a sudden people get up and start dancing. But a routine, not just random dancing. OMG, that would be so hot, lololol. I really want people to do this. But it can't be like the train scene from Step Up 2 (No freestyling allowed). Lol. Strictly choreographed routines!

Who's down?

Betrayal

You never really know who your true friends are until you have your back turned. It's when you're not looking that the true fangs come out. I never expected people who I considered to be close to me to outright betray me like that, but I can't say I'm too surprised. I mean, now that I think about it, look at who they are and who they hang out with. That shit is so pathetic and little, I can't do anything but shake my head. It's honestly really sad that they would resort to something like that. I just realize that OUR friendship does not mean as much to you as it used to...or did it ever? Can you honestly say you were ever really my friend?

Welp, we live, we learn, and we move on. Pardon my back as I walk away.
Have a nice life... wish you the best.

What did I do?

Did I just make the biggest mistake in my life? I have the right intentions at heart, but I don't know if it was the right thing to do. I never meant to hurt you, I just wish you could see it from my point of view. I didn't do anything stupid to end it, but when I did end it, I feel like I hurt you the same. Nothing like this ever feels good, but in the future you will understand my reasoning. We were so good at one point... but was that just because of where we were? Was it stupid to think we could make it happen outside of that? I was scared of what I thought would happen and in the end, it did happen, but it was my fault. It hurts me sooo much to hear you hurt, but I swear there's a reason behind everything. I wish I could just turn around and say ok, forget all that, I want this, right now. My heart begs me to stop the crying, but my brain convinces me that its all for the best, that one day you will get it. I swear I wasn't making plans for me and someone else while we were still together and I promise to you (believe it or not) I don't have any plans to get with anybody else now. I just need some time to myself, some time to get my life together without having to stress over not being able to give you everything you need while were apart. I just need right now to not be a boyfriend and be YOUR FRIEND before I LOSE you completely. We all have our problems and I'll be the first to admit it. I lost this battle, but the war is far from over. I hope you realize that before you give up on me. I just really wish you could understand.

America the..... beautiful?

So after everything is said and done, George W. Bush has roughly 48 hours left in office before Barack Obama takes over. The past 8 years have been the most interesting, I have to say, or maybe it's because I have a bias. I never did like Bush, and when the previous election came around I was two months shy of being able to vote. I never liked Kerry much either, but hey, I would have voted for him to just keep Bush out of office for another 4 years, lol. When Clinton left office I was 13... when he entered office, I was 5, lol. I don't remember much about that time period, but I know that now, that he was a great president and Obama has a lot of work to do - as do we, the citizens of America. Everyone looks at this new term as if Obama is going to come into office and change everything. That after January 20th, the economy will shoot up, the war will end, we will be a united country, etc. Well, ladies and gentlemen, the change begins within! I keep seeing that damn trailer for the movie "Notorious" and dude always says, "We can change the world, but first we must change ourselves." It honestly makes the most sense. How dare we rely everything on just one man to change our future?? With the right figure head, the community can grow within itself and surpass any previously determined expectations.

I remember when Obama won the election back in November. Everyone was so excited. Never in my life did I see sos many people unite and celebrate with people they didn't even know. It wasn't even like this after September 11, 2001. I was back at school when it happened. On my four years on campus I never saw something like that. Everyone celebrating under one cause... 1 victory, we shook the campus. Different people, from different walks of life, with different belieds, and different practices came together arm in arm and screamed "O-BA-MA!" I made my freedom count, I made my voice heard. We as a generation changed history. That night we proved that we are ready for a change... hopefully. Hopefully we are are ready for a new nation, ready to come together and bring this cuntry back to where it's supposed to be. I hope. But at a time like this, that's what we need to have, right? Hope.

Best movie ever, lol.

Walt Disney presents Bedtime Stories directed by Adam Shankman (director and choreographer of Hairspraywith Adam Sandler, Courtney Cox, Keri Russell, Guy Pearce, Russelll Brand, etc. A family comedy about a hotel handyman whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his neice and nephwe start to magically come true.
Critics gave this movie two stars, but according to the users of moviefone (lol) the movie got 4. I think the nature of this movie makes people think its solely a child film, but I have to admit its more for everyone. Adam Sandler is found in another hit for the family, while the supporting cast steps it up to keep the film rolling. I have to admit it was a pleasant surprise seeing Lucy Lawless in this film. I have a lil thing for her, lol. Ever since Xena, she makes me smile, haha.
I must say this is a movie that everyone should go see. It's really pleasing and will have you walking out of the theatre with a smile on your face. One reader on imdb said "My granddaughter, 11, picked the movie as I am generally a SdFi guy. I have to say that I enjoyed and laughed as much as she did. I didn't see anything hackeneyed or cliched moments lend itself to funny cookie cutter movies.... the movie moves at a nice brisk pace. I recommend it highly. You will not feel leaving the movie ripped off by any means, which not surprisingly happens more often than not. May you all enjoy it as we did."

Out with the old....in with the 9.

A new year.... A new me? Nahhh. Don't think so. Everyone always preaches these New Year resolutions about how the new year is a chance to fix wrongs and come out as a brand new person. Change doesn't happen overnight, and there's no way a couple shots of Patron and a New Years kiss will turn you into a completely new person for the next 365 days.
So this year, I've decided to not have a Resolution. Partly because I never end up keeping them, and partly because I've decided that I'm happy where my life is right now. I have goals that I've set for myself for graduating college, and that's what I'm going to focus on.
There are some relationships that have failed and prospered in 2008 and I plan on leaving all the negative back there. This past year has had a lot to deal with, and I think I stepped up quite nicely. I only expect this new year, 2009 to be even better and more prosperous than the previous one. I expect a lot of doors to open and my life to make a lot of changes for the best.
My goals for the new year include:
  • Start to take classes at BDC and become a better dancer.
  • Get a job where I can sustain until I figure out my career.
  • Move out of my folks house by the beginning of the summer.
  • Start going to the gym with TK and become a gym rat with him, lol.
As for right now, that's all I can think about, but I plan on having those taken care of some time this year. Werd....I have a feeling that this is going to be a good year.
